Zebra RS5000

The Zebra RS5000 corded ring scanner is designed to provide cost-effective hands-free 1D and 2D barcode scanning for warehouse, logistics and manufacturing operations. Worn on a single finger, the lightweight and perfectly balanced design leaves both hands free for handling products, helping workers improve speed, accuracy and overall productivity in scan-intensive workflows. 

The RS5000 is engineered for fast and reliable barcode capture in demanding environments. Zebra’s PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology enables lightning-fast decoding of virtually any 1D or 2D barcode, including damaged, dirty or poorly printed labels. The scanner’s omni-directional scanning and wide field of view simplify operation with true point-and-shoot scanning, reducing training time and improving workflow efficiency. 

Built specifically for industrial and warehouse environments, the RS5000 delivers enterprise-grade ruggedness with IP65 sealing, resistance to repeated drops and operation in freezer environments. The scanner is designed to withstand water spray, dust, impacts and extreme cold while maintaining reliable performance throughout long work shifts. 

The RS5000 supports both near-contact and extended-range scanning, allowing workers to capture barcodes from close distances up to over 63.5 cm (25 in.). The wide working range and large barcode reading capability make the device ideal for warehouses and manufacturing plants where oversized labels and multi-barcode labels are common. 

Comfort and ergonomics are a major focus of the RS5000 design. The ambidextrous swivel trigger allows workers to instantly switch between right- and left-hand operation without tools, while replaceable finger strap assemblies help improve hygiene and simplify maintenance. The compact design minimizes worker fatigue during long scanning-intensive shifts. 

Unlike Bluetooth wearable scanners, the RS5000 uses a corded connection to Zebra wearable computers such as the WT6000, WT6300 and WT6400. This eliminates battery management and Bluetooth latency concerns while providing consistent high-speed communication and reliable operation in freezer and industrial environments.
