Zebra RS5100

The Zebra RS5100 wearable Bluetooth ring scanner is designed to deliver high-performance hands-free barcode scanning with a lightweight, rugged and highly ergonomic design. Built for warehouse, logistics, manufacturing and retail operations, the RS5100 combines enterprise durability with exceptional worker comfort and flexibility. 

The RS5100 features an ultra-light low-profile form factor that weighs just over two ounces, reducing worker fatigue during long scanning-intensive shifts. Workers can wear the scanner on either hand, on a finger, on the back of the hand or on a lanyard, allowing businesses to adapt the device to different workflows and user preferences. 

Designed for maximum mobility, the RS5100 uses Bluetooth wireless connectivity, eliminating cables between the scanner and host device. It can pair with Zebra wearable computers, handheld terminals, tablets, smartphones and PCs, while NFC tap-to-pair functionality simplifies deployment and daily operation. Class 1 Bluetooth support enables roaming distances up to 91 meters (300 ft) from the host device. 

The RS5100 is engineered for fast and accurate barcode capture in demanding environments. Zebra’s advanced SE4710 and SE4770 scan engines combined with PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology enable near-instant scanning of damaged, dirty and poorly printed 1D and 2D barcodes. The wider field of view simplifies scanning larger barcodes and improves productivity in high-volume workflows. 

To improve usability and workflow efficiency, the RS5100 includes programmable LED indicators, audible alerts and optional haptic vibration feedback. LEDs on the scanner can also guide workers through picking routes by indicating directional instructions such as left, right or straight ahead. 

The RS5100 is built for enterprise durability with IP65 sealing, resistance to repeated drops and support for harsh industrial environments. The scanner is designed to withstand drops, bumps and even high-pressure washdowns while maintaining reliable operation. Durable trigger assemblies rated for millions of activations help reduce maintenance costs and extend device lifespan. 

A key advantage of the RS5100 is its removable and replaceable PowerPrecision+ battery system. Businesses can swap batteries between shifts instead of recharging the entire scanner, enabling continuous operation across multiple shifts. Standard batteries support full-shift usage, while extended batteries are available for cold storage and longer operating times.
